  1. Beauty section in Daiso Korea!

Daiso has been really expanding their beauty range the last 3 years or so and more and more big beauty sections are popping up at bigger Daisos.

Whenever I make a Daiso related post I always get a “i wouldn’t trust a dollar store for my beauty products lol” reply so I want to give a little more information on beauty products at Daiso.

A lot of the newer beauty brands at daiso are actually “Little sister” brands of major popular brands in Korea.

I believe they started the little sister project with Nature Republic when they rolled out the shingmulwon line at Daiso and it was successful so they started doing it with other brands.

For example in the last year TAG products went viral at Daiso and it was so out everywhere for months. Only in the last few weeks, hype died down and you can get TAG products more easily. TAG is under Too Cool for School.

Twinkle Pop by Clio has been in Daiso for a long while.

chochoslab which also has been in Daiso for a while is under chosungah22 which is launched by the makeup artist sungah cho.

Drop Be is under The Saem which i find a little funny because The Saem is already very inexpensive. People say the Drop Be concealers are identical to the famous The Saem concealers.

And as you can see in the image, there’s mimo by Mamonde and Boncept by Tony Moly.

Other brands are straight up in Daiso like A’pieu which has been a longstanding brand in Korea and the little sister brand of Missha.

VT cosmetics is in Daiso and they usually do “Travel packaging” so like they have Reedle Shot products in a box with little sachets. These are so popular that when you go to Daisos you have to go to the counter to get the products so they can make sure you don’t buy too much so other customers get a chance to get it. Like the TAG products they were sold out for months. They just released a bunch of new Reedle Shot products but I think hype died down or everyone already bought a full size product because you can find them easily in Daiso now. Some stores straight up put it in the beauty section and you don’t have to go get it at the counter anymore. One thing I find interesting is some of the ones in Daiso are not yet being sold full size in VT yet. Like there’s a peptide one, glutathione, and EGF one (i bought them all lol) that’s only at Daiso. Maybe they’re using Daiso to check consumer interest before full size products are released? A lot of people buy the Daiso ones first to check if it fits their skin well first.

I’ve used a lot of products at Daiso and have rarely been disappointed. Let me know if you’d like quick and dirty reviews (I’m sorry but I am not as amazing detailed as the amazing people here who do amazing reviews so let me know if quick and dirty reviews are allowed as a post here. I can do all the products I remember using in thread if thats allowed.)
