Do we need another velvet hack?

So I've tried the hacks posted to this sub but none have given me a solid velvet effect. I was in the middle of tweaking a configuration and accidentally gave myself the perfect velvet as I was adjusting my finger over the magnets.

All this time I was putting my finger IN the magnetic field when I should have been ABOVE it. Attached is a little album I put together for anyone who may still be struggling or doesn't want to buy a chonky horseshoe magnet.

I think the pictures/video speak for themselves but I basically built a U shape with 4 neodymium bar magnets like so |__| and hovered my finger over it rather than put it inside.

The bottom two are magnetized side by side and taped for stability and safety (I broke them but they really broke themselves from gravitating aggressively at each other 🙄). I fashioned a box out of cardboard and taped it to the bottom. The box serves as a place to rest my finger. Bonus: no walls to maneuver in and out of! The box also stabilizes the side magnets so they stay upright. I can still remove them as needed for other effects.
