I used to store my nail polish bottles in this case. Since my collection grew a bit, I decided to move them to these clear plastic containers to save space. Should I move them back to the case to better preserve their quality and lifetime? If so, any other storage solution for an ever growing collection?

The clear boxes are perfectly good as long as you store them somewhere that is dark most of the time, like a closet, cabinet, or under a bed. If you like to keep your polish out on your makeup table or something, I would suggest keeping your current favourites in the zippered case and the rest in the clear bins in a dark place.
Nail polish is honestly not that fussy about storage, you just ideally don’t want them to hang out somewhere very warm (like near a radiator) or have them constantly exposed to light (like in a wall display). Lots of people do display their nail polish collection without issue, it’s not ideal but degradation due to light exposure is actually not common.
