While I appreciate her apologizing directly and publicly to Monique, using a threat that directly takes her race into account is indeed racist, lol. And not accepting that and threatening to run off instead of making amends prioritizes whatever shame she feels over repairing the harm she’s caused. Never bought from her and from this apology, don’t see that changing in the future.
Will make sure to look out for Monique’s Cracked Polish, though! At least one good thing came out from this drama.

Wish her all the best in her road to recovery. Sorry but I call bullshit on this apology. It’s a bare minimum no remorse apology. Obviously her brand is hurting so a stock apology is expected. Wish more accountability was taken in regards to the blatant racist remarks she made. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, if you’ve to reiterate ‘im not a racist’ it’s not a good look. I suspected correctly this is one of those situations where these people just don’t realize how racism comes in all shapes n forms. I don’t know how you become a better person if you don’t acknowledge you were racist towards Monique. Anyway, this was pretty much expected. Disappointed but not surprised.

Edit to Add: I appreciate that she admitted the recordings were genuine. But I am seriously so tired of people acting like being accused of being racist is worse than the actual racist shit they say/do. Even if she genuinely doesn’t want to be that kind of person, this should be her indicator that she still has a lot of fucking work to do on herself. So just take accountability for *that* and go do that. And stop trying to pity people into forgiving you for shit you don’t even seem to fully recognize you still need to work on just to save your brand.

This “apology” is somehow even more embarrassing than the original shit she said. Love the slight jab at whoever exposed her too. Hopefully Monique gains a stronger following from this and benefits at the end of the day, not that that makes up for this awful experience.
