By superficial review i mean first impressions on use, not waiting until skin renewal to see how great the product is. I'm quite picky with how stuff feels on my skin on use so i figured I'd focus on that.
Age:22
Climate: Mediterranean (spain)(dry)
Skin type: dry sensitive rosacea-prone, no acne
I'm gonna make some comparisons with skin1004 because I think it's similar and many people have tried their kit.
- Centella Green Fresh Cleansing Oil:
❌ Bottle mouth is open, easy to overspill
✅ Okayish mild centella smell, not lasting
❌ Leaves thick greasy film on skin after washing off (might need 2 washes with foaming cleanser)
This might feel unfair but I used it against heroine mascara and I followed the advice of a pharmacist to use it first on eyes, massage then do the rest of the face so as to not get the blurry eyes effect and it still did. The next day my eyes were SO dry, i got a greenish lump on my eyes (for reference when i used skin 1004 it did not blur my eyes and next day i didn't have any lumps or eyes SO dry)
Evaluation: 1/5 WNRP
- Centella Calming Gel Cream:
✅ Texture more consistent than skin1004
✅ Feels more hydrating than skin1004 but less soothing
✅ Okayish mild centella scent, not lasting
✅ Absorbs quickly
❌ Hydration doesn't last long (neither does skin1004 tho)
Evaluation: 4/5 MRP (only if summer though, my skin needs A LOT of hydration in the winter)
- Centella Calming Daily Sunscreen:
❌ Smells bad
❌ Thic texture
✅ Doesn't leave whitecast
✅ Doesn't sting in eyes
❌ Leaves greasy film/glowy look
Evaluation: 2.5/5 i can't stand the smell, product is not bad but why would i get this when i can get skin1004 ones… WNRP
Once again grateful for travel/starter kits so I can discard what products I wouldn't like
