Shallow ridges like that are normal, yeah. They’re the top level of your nail; the valleys are areas that didn’t lay down quite as much keratin. Extreme ridges can indicate growth matrix damage or nutritional/hormonal deficiencies. But yours look like a pretty typical variation in growth height.

Yes everyone has them, some more pronounced than others, you can smooth them out with a polishing file, although the more you do the thinner the nail becomes.
