Just a bit of happy on an otherwise bummer of a day

Story Time:

I went in for outpatient surgery early this morning. Not fun, older lady-parts type stuff. (I’m headed back home to rest now)

As there were all kinds of lovely nurses around handing my IV, the fingertip pulse thing, my BO cuff, etc, my hands were being handled quite a bit.

Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten so many compliments on my nails in one day EVER 😄 – even more so once my husband piped up that I do them myself. “Just regular polish, no gel or acrylics! Those are her nails!” I was happy to share that my little “covid hobby” became something I do for myself now, every 3-4 days.

Anyhow, it made my smile on what would have otherwise been a tough morning.
