🛸 if you wanna go and be stupid, don’t do it in front of me 🛸

Hi, friends! I have another review for you — this time for an indie brand I’ve never tried before: Baroness X. And I’m gonna let you know now that I’m really disappointed, so don’t get your hopes up. ☹️

I realize that this magnetic looks GORGEOUS in these photos, but the diffusion of the cat-eye stripe overnight was heartbreaking. The top left photo was taken right after the manicure was done, and the photo next to it was taken the next night under the same lighting conditions (dark with flash). Gone were the beautiful pink and blue and green glitters against the deep blue galaxy background, overtaken instead by the bright green overlay on most of the nail that makes me wish I had just put on ILNP’s Frankie and called it a day. If I wanted green nails, I would have painted them green (my favorite color). I had to WORK to show the background in these photos, wanting to show you the best. I’ll post what it normally looks like to me in the comments — sad and dull.

Wow, I’m really not holding back today, am I? I was really looking forward to this particular shade from June’s Polish Pickup, and I ran to check out the minute the shop opened. I’ll certainly try this again, probably with a velvet effect, to see if I can get it to stay. The formula was really lovely and a dream to work with, and the magnetic pull was really strong right away. I’m the weirdo who lets each coat dry with the magnet for at least 2 minutes before I move on, so it’s not like I’m not giving it enough time.

Does anyone else have this? Did you experience the same issues? I’m I just wrong? Don’t hold back!
