I do not like the gold flakes but I love the marbling underneath them. How do I get the gold flakes off? Even if it's just a little. Or am I f*****?

  1. You may not be able to. They are essentially embedded into a hard polymer – in theory, you could take a nail file and buff off the top layer where the flakes are and then refinish it, but in practice that would be difficult to do without ruining the design.

  2. depends on what you put them down with. have you tried a q-tip soaked in nailpolish remover? Try the kind that are made of foam and very pointy at the end so you don’t mess up your swirls too much. Beauty supply places like Ulta and discount “beauty supply stores” usually have them, if you can’t wait for amazon.

Or you could try a very fine eye makeup tool with little dabs of acetone/nail polish remover. Assuming they’re held down with nail polish.
