I feel like the matte is a little more edgy and makes the designs pop, but also feel like it makes my hands look dry. Maybe that’s just because the matte is a “drier” look lol and I hate dry hands so I’m applying lotion constantly.
Please no judgement on the nails, I’ve been a nail biter and cuticle biter all my life so this length is progress!

Hm, they both look good. My personal favourite is shiny with this color, but I definitely see a matte Bordeaux-red nail color
Shiny! I agree with you that the matte finish looks more cool & edgy but the shiny finish takes them to the next level.
I did something similar a while back with a similar grey and matte. I liked it at first, but after a few days it didn’t feel like it had any life. I put on a coat of gloss and was much happier. I haven’t gone back to matte since. No right or wrong choice, just my thoughts.
