…you don’t have to chop off all your nails when one breaks!
Mine are naturally brittle and bendy, so when I can get length on them (with the help of a strengthener I wear 24/7), it is especially heartbreaking when one breaks, especially right down to the quick.
I used to chop all of them, but now I dress up my shorty and take her out dancing. ✨🩰🪩 Why have all these nail stickers if I don’t use them? It’ll take months to grow back, and I’m not sacrificing the extremely satisfying tippity-tap of my nails on my kitchen counter for that whole time. 😤
I’ve reviewed this polish before, but for those who haven’t seen it, Holo Taco’s Funny Feeling is described as a “chartreuse-to-teal thermal shimmer.” I hate to say it (I don’t, actually; I’m a salty bitch) but Simply didn’t get this description right. There is not enough yellow or enough gray to make this chartreuse (gray mutes the color, making it “muddier,” a major attribute of every shade on the chartreuse spectrum). It’s a pale lime, reminiscent of margarita mix.
Regardless of the inaccurate description (a sticking point between me and Cristine — I firmly believe she’s partially colorblind, @ me if you must), this is a gorgeous polish. It’s actually a tri-thermal, and although I understand why she didn’t advertise it as such, it really is a shame that it’s not getting the credit it deserves. The transitional color is a beautiful seafoam green that is distinct from both the cold and the warm states. I hope it dies either in the warm state (pale lime) or the transition (seafoam).
The formula in my first go-round was a bit gloopy, but I found it to be easier to work with this time around. It’s a 3-coater on me and even then, there’s a little bit of a nail line. Not a complaint, just an observation.
This is a really fun one. If you have it in your collection, I highly recommend pulling it out and playing with it before it dies! It’s incredibly reactive. Have fun! 🥑

Yes I do! You don’t have to but I will notice it constantly 😀 I am too neurotic for uneven nails.
Back when I’d bite them as a child having them even was a big drive for that.
