I go with my grandmother once a month to get our nails done. She is adamant about going to this one place because the lady there gets her nails just right. She gets an almond french manicure. I have naturally long nails and get builder gel to strengthen them, as my job requires use of acetone and alcohol solvents. I has work with my hands, so I need it to keep my nails safe.

I ask if this is too much because last month I asked for a nude to white ombre and the only person there who knows how to use builder gel acted like I was asking for 3D art, with all the bells and whistles.

I know I should be going to a higher end salon ir an independent nail technician but my grandmother is set in her ways and this is one of the few things I can get her out of her house for.

  1. If there’s time, I recommend calling ahead and asking the shop for a brief consultation. Or maybe see if they have social media showing off their work.  At you’ve already mentioned, some nail salons dont always know how to do things and it’s be better to know beforehand so yall can have a lovely outing or so you can choose something that is within their salons ability 🤷‍♂️

  2. This shouldn’t be a problem for a salon. Very easily achieved with dip powder. Good luck and great set!

The ring may be too much to ask yeah but the rest should be fine I think:)) As someone else already said, it’s probably worth calling ahead just to be sure.
