Attempted ballerina shape on natural nails

I asked a few weeks ago if I could achieve ballerina shape at this length and I decided to give it a shot before I inevitably break a nail (I'm expecting that to happen even more quickly now that I've compromised my side walls…)

The shape can be seen better on my natural nails without polish. Sorry my nails look so rough, I recently glued press ons which damaged them.

No matter what I did, I could not get my ring finger to look right. I gave up for fear that I was compromising the integrity too much. It has the curviest nail bed, but also has some warping when viewed head on.

So anyway, if you can tell where I went wrong, I'd be happy to improve (as long as my nails make it to the next polish change…)
