I don’t like doing 3 coats, but it was necessary to get the olive base to really show up. It looked grey (and somewhat patchy) in 2 coats. Also, phoenix jellies take FOREVER to dry.

One 3-coat mani and this is my fill line 🥲
One other issue with phoenix is brush quality control. There’s almost always 1 or 2 long bristles making application difficult. I used my nippers to fix this brush.
