I have been going to the same nail place in Philly since 2020. Today I booked a hard gell refill. It has been 4 months exactly. Last time I only paid 80$ and I had glitter on every finger. I was shocked at the price today. Apparently the nail tech charged me for a full set when I didn’t even need one and I’ve gone longer in the past and still wasn’t charged this much. Also the chrome is horrible and a couple of my fingers turned out a little chunky on my right hand. Should I reach out and tell them I’m unhappy? I’m not sure what to do. I think I could’ve gotten better results if I had just done them myself at this point. TLDR : I paid 145$ for these and I’m not happy and unsure about what to do next.

Ooo $145 is steep. I’m so sorry. I don’t think that price is right even for a full set

  2. wtf is up with American prices. Something like this would cost me no more than £35 at my salon in the uk

I would expect them to be longer and far more intricate with art for this price

If i would even pay that much those nails better be SPECTACULAR. These aren’t even that good, i def agree with you, the chrome doesn’t look well done, def chunky, and even the shape could use some touch ups.

If the tech had to do more work to prep your nails for a new set, yes, it would cost more.

wtf everything in America is robbery. I’m too cheap to pay 35€ here in Germany, so I do my nails myself. If I give a tip, it’s never more than 5€
