I scooped out two products that were flat at the top (is there a term for that? Hopefully you know what I mean) and couldn’t get anything out of unless I was really rubbing my finger onto the product as opposed to applying how I usually do.

YSL sheer lipstick – I’m sorry, I don’t know the name or shade! The label rubbed off, but it looks very similar to some products going around on TikTok at the moment. I saw a tip (on TikTok) about being able to peel off the label at the bottom and push the remaining product out, and it worked! Managed to get quite a lot out and am glad I made the effort to. This is from probably about 5 or 6 years ago? Still performs great though, and I really like the colour – it comes out far more sheer than it looks in the pot.

Milk Makeup contour in ‘toasted’ – I’d been under the impression these wound up, but mine honestly never did. I usually swipe it onto my face but it had gotten too flat to do that (and was awkward to do with my finger as well) and decided to scoop out what I could, not expecting it to be much, but there was LOADS. The picture with my thumb is me showing how far down the product went, because I think the photos don’t do it justice when seeing the inside! It is disappointing that it didn’t wind up, especially because there’s a stick in the middle so I assume it was meant to!? For that reason, if this hadn’t been the best contour shade I’ve found for my skin so far (SUPER pale), I wouldn’t have bought it again. Annoyingly, I’d bought a replacement before I scooped it out, but won’t be needing to open it for a while! Need to figure out the best way to apply it in this format. Any tips welcome!
