Got some new color gels a little while ago and some of them do this when I wipe them with cleaner. I‘ve tried doing multiple super thin coats, I‘ve also tried curing them for 2mins instead of 1min, and I also tried to do cleaner and buffing inbetween coats (as far as that was possible). But they still always do that.

The texture of the lifting gel is kind of rubbery and as far as I can tell theres barely any uncured gel underneath.

Did I just get unlucky with these products or is there anything else I could try or that I’m possibly doing wrong?

Are you doing this on fake nails? Are you buffing the surface of the fake nails before painting? If the surface is too smooth, the gel might not have anything to adhere to, so it peels.

Are you using a base coat? Sometimes certain base coats don’t work well with certain colors, and you don’t find that out until after you’ve started experimenting.

Are you allowing enough time for it to dry? Mine wrinkled like that too when I didn’t let it dry throughly.

After properly curing your first gel coat, continue applying your next gel layer and curing. Do not file, buff etc in between gel layers.
