First time doing nails! I hyperfixated on watching nail videos on YouTube & bought all the supplies I’d need. I did my first ever set!!! Gotta fix the thumb, but took me 2 days but I LOVE how they came out! Poly gel is so easy to work with! Can’t wait for my next set that I’m starting later 😊
Things I learned going into this blind:
• easier for me to work with more poly gel versus less
• if you’re encapsulating a design… be sure you added enough clear poly gel before sanding (sanded a couple designs away)
• French tips are so hard to freehand
• using gel polish for designs limits bulky nails (I messed up my thumb by adding a nude poly gel base, then design, then encapsulate w clear poly gel & my nail is so think 😂)
• lint/hairs get everywhere and stick to EVERYTHING
• don’t do your non dominate hand first 😂 it’s hard enough to paint/add designs to your dominate hand but try with long nail tips.. ten times harder
