Hi all 💕 so I mix a lot of colors right now to create the shades I need as I expand my polish collection, and I’ve been using the little acrylic slab in the picture. The issues are that a) it’s too small to mix more than maybe 3 colors, and b) it doesn’t contain the colors I’m mixing so it tends to spread all over, wasting even more space.

I’d love to use a regular paint palette with paint wells, but they don’t usually list the materials used and I don’t want to end up with one that melts as soon as I try to clean it off with acetone. I’m not sure about the chemistry, but will stainless steel work? Do any of you have any suggestions? Pic is of my palette right now as I work on a set.

TIA!

Stainless steel will be absolutely fine. Acetone tends to gradually dissolve softer/more flexible plastics, you should be OK with a rigid one (after all, it comes in plastic bottles! Some solvents like the ones in polish thinner will gradually wiggle their way through plastic bottles so should ideally be stored in glass to stop the amount decreasing in between uses, but acetone is fine).
