And now for something completely different on the C-Beauty side… Qingzhi hand creams.
I chanced upon the Qingzhi hand cream store in Shanghai and it was packed to the rafters on a Friday night. I had seen a lot of Judydoll and Flower Knows in Shanghai, but I wanted something a little different and off the beaten path. The Qingzhi branch in Shanghai is on Nanjing Road, near the Bund. It’s a pretty touristy area but curiously, the place was packed with locals and other Chinese travelers. Hence, my curiosity was piqued.

The store has a really comprehensive hand cream selection with seemingly every scent and combo you could like. It even has a special wall where you can pick a hand cream based on your birthdate. I picked one out for a friend’s birthday but I was drawn to the Ice Cream boxed set because I was missing my It’s Skin Cookie hand cream of years past.

I bought a tub of the medicated hand cream and several other sets. I have to say, this hand cream store specializes in many different types. The ice cream one has a thicker, shea butter-like texture while the medicated types are more emollient and lotion like. Suffice to say, I was pretty happy to get sucked in by the pretty packaging because the product actually works really well for my cuticles. I bought this for friends but now am tempted to keep them all!
