Skintone: Fair with neutral-slight warm olive undertone

Skin type: Combination (normal-slight oily t-zone with some dry patches)

Climate: SE Asia, tropical, 30s celsius + >80% humidity

Shade matches: Usually shade 23 in Korean Cushions (Laneige, Wakemake water glow cushion, Clio Founwear foundation, D’abla tension mesh cushion, Lavien radiance essence, black cushion, ohiohoo), Lisa Eldridge Skin Tint in T5, Haus Labs Foundation in 110, Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in 4, Rare Beauty Foundation in 170W (depth)

I did a 2 days wear test with sunscreens that i’m VERY familiar with and forgo my usual primer since it’ll not be an organic review + it absorbs oil well.

Day 1

ANESSA Perfect UV Sunscreen Mild Milk SPF50+ PA++++ For Sensitive Skin
TirTir cushion
Not AB finishing powder

Started at 7am and ended at 7pm so a 12 hrs wear test with mask wearing about 3 hrs. The coverage is medium and didn’t cover the leftover acne spot that is quite dark with a slight glow to it. I used a finishing powder that I love and have been using BUT the combination with Anessa sunscreen caused my dry patches to show up quite badly and my under eye looked absolutely HORRIBLE…I couldn’t stand how dry it looked, so I used my d’abla white truffle spray to add some hydration and it looked better.

Overall not recommended to set if you have dry patches with a slight floral fragrance.

Day 2

Lavien Cosmetics Active Defense UV Suncream (my holygrail)
TirTir cushion

I decided to use my Lavien sunscreen since it does set a bit but also has never dry out my skin. My absolute favourite mineral sunscreen that i’ve been using like 2 years. Matching with a more hydrating sunscreen + no powder at all and it made the cushion wear sooo much better. Barely any transfer as compared to Day 1 wear test that I was surprised. I only let it set like 3 mins? And also a 12 hrs wear test.

The shade match is surprisingly better than I expected. Some lightings, it looks amazing and perfect but others look a bit brighter on me.

Overall 8/10, I do like it but need to test it out and appreciate that it doesn’t transfer much even without setting and with the heat and I did perspire quite a lot. However, on the day when I first received and posted the swatch, I applied on my cheek and it did not budge or transfer onto my pillow while lying down. 👀🤯
